kinda strange that the male lead is an innocent nice guy she murdered on her first life. If he was the one reborn, he'd be taking revenge on her lol

Somehow your comment makes sense, because remember how Ariadne's judged by the scales in exchange for her reincarnation. She got the privilege because she didn't commit all those murders out of evilness but for her selfish gains - which came to nothing as she was just being used, so those selfish gains weren't fulfilled, that's why the greater evil falls on Caesar's head. The cherry on the top was even though it was already unfair that she got used to commit murders, she also met an unfair end. This "unfairness" may be one of the reasons why she got to reincarnate - so the scale can finally restore some fairness in her lot!
Now coming to my main point, Alfonso must have some evil in order to not be reincarnated "if" indeed he was killed "unfairly" by Ariadne. Or if he really was innocent then, plot twist - maybe he has also reincarnated!

Thank you for this explanation- I was very confused with this concept of the scales for reincarnation.
I was confused with the concept of what equates to evil/fairness for the scales to choose the person specifically.. and that is very interesting about Alfonso not being reincarnated.. since his death was unfair.
Overall tho in this timeline- I still feed bad for Alfonso- stuck with an obsessive person he does not like- and having no memorable screentime lol

You're welcome! It's just a theory I came up with to understand the reincarnation concept here, until the author decides to explain it properly. There's lots going on, and the lives of the 3 main characters are very unfortunate and unfair - even Caesar's! If the queen had continued being kind to him, he'd have become a very different person. She didn't and therefore created an enemy in him for Alfonso. Their strings are being pulled by others since their childhood and they are what and where they are because of the decisions made by the adults in their lives. It's sad and tragic for all 3 and Ariadne is doing everything to break out of it, wish the other 2 would do that too, and soon! or else they'd just end up killing each other like their crown and position demands! As for the screen time, other than Ariadne, everyone else is just a side character, even the MLs lol
