Bruhh for real, our family still follow the values and rules that was hand down to us by our forefathers. It's suffocating sometimes because the old/previous generation completely contradicts with the beliefs and values of the youngs today and sometime they wouldn't even bother to listen on our side. In our family if you are a man and you cried you are weak, and if you are a female you are just overreacting to them. So yeah, that's why me and cousins are the only ones who would take on each other sides.

,, I'm also an Asian.... And I understand the struggles of the family head... Just like my father... I know he's always busy and can't show his emotions well. I also know that he's doing this for our family. Because my father stays away from home and he's always so busy that he doesn't even have time for. And unconsciously I've difted apart from him. I don't even know when we were close enough to have a conversation. I fact we are growing farther apart.
I really can't blame the Duke for his actions, since he's pretty similar with my cousin. He's always busy, he have no time for his family and might feel like he neglected his family, however he's just carrying the burden on his own and he don't want her wife to burden his problems. We (me and my cousin) as an Asian, grow up in a patriarchal type of family, and the role of the father is to Work and provide all of the wants and needs of his wife and children. So my cousin was working so hard so he could provide a stable living for his family. I mean yeah, the duke and my cousin sucks at communication, but they're the type of people who's willing to shoulder everything so they wouldn't burden another person.
