Yup the word daddy which was a perfectly innocent word has been ruined for me as well since we're are in the age of kids speaking inappropriate things in many ways ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Man- I still call my parents "Daddy" and "Mommy". It's a habit and it's not going away anytime soon.
I wish I could still call them daddy and mommy but now everytime I think about it I get the most uncomfy feeling since it’s so sexualized now ╥﹏╥
The word daddy has been ruined for me too. I called my dad daddy till mid 8th grade. That’s when everyone started calling hot guys daddy (well it got more popular I should say). Now I can’t say it seriously anymore without feeling uncomfortable. Same with my mom. I used to call her mommy too but now it feels weird so I made up nicknames for them and it works just fine
