I don't think so. He was a pure canvas at first based on the darkened value. The bar increased as he faced the situation again in dream without Wangzi.
So, he was forced to learn the bitter truth as how he was originally supposed to be in the game (after those scary events).
For sure his mind become spilt and confused since everything seems real in his dream. I can conclude, he just growth up with sweetness first but taste the bitterness afterwards. But the reality he in atm is the sweetness.
