they prolly had a history together living in the same estate. i think one flashback showed her and the duke talking in the past when she was still a maid. i do find it weird that he's going through such lengths for her.
she was adopted by the vicenna becuz they thought that the vicennas are the only ones who solve that curse, prolly cuz duke vicenna is under a curse himself.

In one of the chapters he says that he was always aware that she was on his side helping him, so I guess she caught his attention since before?
okay but considering he was away the entire time. it was weird to build a rs over something non existent
im a bit lost as to why the cold duke would go all his way for a mere maid he didnt properly build a rs with. going through so much for a maid that he never knew existed and even assumed she was the one who poisoned him until so. & i still dont understand why the maid had to be adopted by the vincennas (?) who had no relation to the duke as well
