Imagine thinking that 10 pages of content is nothing and don't worth even 5 dollars ... You sound stupid af, these artist have to pay for digital programs like photoshop or clip studio and do sketch, line art, coloring and the design of the pages, believe it or not a week it's no enough time.
I get what you mean but the problem here is that it's DOLLARS. And converting dollars to different currencies are hella different. I'm from the Philippines and the cheapest bundle I can get from Lezhin is worth 250 pesos, and that's a lot. BUT if I buy from the korean raws its only worth 5 pesos which is way cheaper. That's why us complaining that 5$ is too expensive, yes honey its expensive af. Other currencies even apply taxes if you ever buy things from outside the country.
So is that 5 pesos helpful for the author? YES, because that 5 pesos is equivalent to their Korean currency. Lezhin english comics is overpriced and yet their authors are financially struggling.

this is an amazing webtoon with a killer art style and one of the best psychological plots i have ever seen. however, i do understand the author's worriment of their comic staying on mangago, but they also have to understand that people just want to read their work without having to pay $5-50 dollars to read it. as for me, even though i have the money, i cant buy the chapters as my dad has access to see what i have bought in my bank account (he's massively homophobic and would most likely kick me out if he knew i was reading yaoi... ) i'm sure everyone here also has their reasons. mostly for not wanting to pay an absurd amount of money for a 10 paged chapter. and i get it, you want money for your hard work, but doxxing and sending death threats to people that have no control over what happens is not the way to go about it. what are you, 11? anyways, even though this author has a great story if this gets taken off of mangago i won't be supporting them on lehzin or wherever it is because this is disgusting behaviour.
