Grenick isn't her uncle's knight, he literally has no authority to send him into battle (correct me if I'm wrong tho, been a while since I read the earlier chapters). Taking this into account, all she has to do is tell both Grenick and Ginger so that they can all 3 be prepared against the uncle's evilness.
yeah this seems like a pretty easy case of Ginger just assigning him as a personal knight to Lupella or something. or even her just telling Ginger so he can fake the poisoning and then miraculously recover. It just seems really convoluted.
