Why am I feeling that the lifespan of the dragons during this time will be longer compared to their predecessors? It’s because Yona, the king that they have been waiting for, is already present this time. If there will be new dragons again, the new ones will not be able to protect Yona at this rate. The dragons were given to Hiryuu so that they can protect him until the life of their King ends and I think the same goes for Yona. They will be able to live together until Yona dies. That’s only my hunch. Hehe

I think it is likely possible that they’ll be able to live longer. :)

The connection they have been longing is there and the bond is strong (blood bond coming from the very first chapters) just like Hiryuu and the past dragons unless they’ll be killed in the battle. The possibility of them being killed while battling is high rather than new dragons sucking up their life energies. If the promise is to protect their king, the present dragons should be strong as heck. The early death of their predecessors might be because the source of their “will to protect” is not there and they need to continue the bloodline until the King’s rebirth. Zeno may not know about this since it’s only the 2nd rebirth of the King. The idea of Zeno about dragons dying early is based on what he experienced, what he don’t know is if the dragons will die early if their king is there. Just my guess and I hope it uplifts your mood. The good ending for this is, excluding the romance of Yona&Hak/adventures of all the protagonist, they all grow and die happily then we will see the unity, faith, and peace in Kouka that Hiryuu wished for. :)

As for Soowon, my hunch is he will die since it is his destiny(unavoidable situation) and that will be his redemption(not as a bad/evil person but for his deeds and to bring back his faith). (=・ω・=)

Yes yes it does uplift my mood!!!! It just feels wrong to have them dying early despite all they've been through together so even if it is a guess your theory does make sense.. tysm(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
