ok looking back at it i don't think it is but do we know if him and the tanned brother return to the story later? like as reincarnations or are they gone forever

You're correct, the grim reaper guy is not the tanned brother. But the brothers do return for a bit and the big brother does die in the young brother's arm... so they're together in the end. But they do reincarnate in the modern world so we will see them again (lots of sex scenes).
