I would like to note btw that it's only ever stories with female main characters that are given short shrift when it comes to romance. Like only female leads become weak if romance is involved? Yeah people may not like romance when it comes to stories with male main characters but that's because they mainly think it takes away from the story not the main character himself.
Just to let you know I'm all about equality and I hate it in both, I feel like most romance are forced and usually never add to the story and I didn't mean to come off as rude, I felt like there a lot of stories that have been ruined because the fl had romance with a man or someone undeserving of them. I guess I just made assumptions and went off that cause I thought it would be like any other story.
Like also I feel like the romantic relationships are unnecessary because there are other relationships they could build that they refused to
