I had to face an abusive, rapist ex and I can still read such mangas, simply cuz i can draw the line between fiction and reality, and this manga is nowhere near something real.
I'm sorry you had to go through that, but some people simply can't draw that line. Nobody's life would change if the author just didn't add the rape part.
Of course, I agree with you. The author could have left that part away or made it consentual, but it's still not a reason to insult others here, tell them ''go die, kill yourself'' because they disagree with someone elses opinion.
On top of that, I am pretty sure nobody who read this manga would ever say ''rape is ok in real life, lets go rape someone yay''
The whole concept of their opinion doesn't work out. saying rape shouldnt be displayed in manga because its illegal in real life. what about all the movies and crimi series, where murder happens? Murder isnt allowed irl either, so we cant watch movies where murder happens, guns are displayed or weapons are used?

And honestly, it's better to be safe than sorry, there are people who aren't mentally stable or their impressionable as hell.
There are other Mangas that touch on rape, and it's shown to be wrong, the victim goes through trauma, it's shown visually. Even in dark humor Mangas you can tell it's dark humor and wrong. This was like oop my bad I raped you? Well you liked it so its okay. And that's the part that is dangerous to women and especially men, who are invalidated because they're the victim and "they probably enjoyed it"
Not saying don't have rape in your artwork, but if you are going to have it, show it as the monster it really is, unless it's clear it's dark humor.
AND EVEN THEN AT LEAST TOUCH ON THE FACT THAT IT WAS RAPE AND SHOULD NOT BE REPEATED, like a warning would've told me oh at least the author knows

There are mangas and webtoons where the rape and abuse genre is being focused and a big important part of the main story and character development, these ones usually have a warning. but this manga is not focusing on the rape aspect, its not traumtically influencing the main character either, it was the authors decision to design it like that and the community should accept it without overreacting like that. its still fiction, it has nothing to do with the reality. (nothing wrong with readonable criticism ofc)

If you're not seeing the problem with this Manga, ask yourself, if the guy had raped a girl instead how would you feel? And the story was modeled that she fell in love with her rapist? And men who read it started normalizing it like yall are. That's dangerous. Unless it's a Manga made to be purposefully twisted and dark, it's not okay. Stop normalizing it.
