I forgot to add this but I think Medea was planning to use Eli at first to secure her son's postion as succesor but failed when Leslie escaped and became one of the salvatores and now she just plans to wipe them out using leslie or maybe make the temple label them as demons coz we all know the temple is dirty like that, they dont know how to investigate and doesnt have the basic logic humans can hold.

I think it's probably, the blond from the third generation conspired with the royal family to eradicate the first generation's history and killed the rightful heir with silver hair so people wouldn't know. Maybe the rightful heir didn't agree to the royal family so the royal family conspired with the blond from third generation so all things would go their way.
YES!!! It's sus that the emperor is the only one who took credit of being the 1st one to decipher/reconstruct the ancient language or whatever when it was stated in the notebook that the sperados know how to read it. If he's not all that bad why is it not written in their official history that the righful heir's clan is knowledgeable in that language and why is the family's 1st generation's history wiped out AND what did the Marquis gained from him after pushing the achievement to him? I know its not only wealth and recognition coz if they claim that achievement they would gain more
The sperato family power is present in every child of the family and it was prominent in the first generation. To elaborate it, I think that the darkness is a special power that every child in the first generation have but they differ in like percentage accoring to their hair (like silver= strong, brown= maybe 20%, bloned= meh, i dunno how to describe it).
As we know silver haired children are deemed to be successors that when u kill them the power transfers, but what if its wrong?
There was a passage where the notebook said that brown haired children have LESS power that those of Silver haired children, and I think it was the mistake.
The power doesn't transfer, their percentage of power simply manifest and shows because the one who holds more power disappears and the darkness needs a vessel to keep it alive. And the power the brown children holds is not even enough to utilize it like how the silver children could've used it so when you kill the brown children (lets say u have 3 kids and each have different hair) the darkness will just use the remaining bloned one as a vessel to sleep in so when they have children it can pick the one that is most fit to hold the power.
I think it was the mistake, they keep killing the silver and brown haired children to transfer their powers to the bloned ones (prolly bcoz the first Marquis is bloned and it became a tradition idk) but it just gave the darkness less and less of choices coz the kids that are being born are always so weak to even hold its full potential.
The darkness may also be alive in which it develops based on the experiences it bearer gains but since they get killed in such a young age the only instinct the darkness have now is to save the its current bearer beacuse from the past it was the desperate wish of the children and its first success was the Marquis' brother that's also why he must have survived the crash. Since Leslie is the true successor as what her brother might have guessed, she had the most chance of being saved by the darkness coz she had the strongest link to it among all the children.
