The ML is not really the one who has the most fault here, its his PARENTS, they manipulated him because they knew he wanted affection from a parent, and right now im kinda proud of him slowly breaking away from his parents (and ofc it would be kinda slow cause not everything can be solved in just a snap) and what's wrong with the FL and ML's relationship is their lack of communication, they misunderstood each others view to theirself (example, ML thinking that FL as a past princess, she doesn't want to be married to a guy like him thus why he was doing his best to earn money to be worthy for her, and meanwhile he thought he was giving all of his money to her, his parents and FL's brother was the one emebezzling the money) and now he's trying his best to understand her and talk with her, i can see some improvement in their relationship, just hoping he would cut off his relationship with his parents in the near future.
