I dont know how the manhua will continue but in the animation (it was quite different from manhua) but around this time Zixuan and Shijie is going love each so much and he will also became less arrogant and going to treat her really well
I guess one of the reasons why he is arrogant and treats her badly is probably cos I think their marriage is arranged and is sake for their families (I dont think they had a say in this matter as well)
It's ok if he doesnt like their arranged mariage, but he keeps humiliating YanLi, calling her ordinary in front of a lot of other people in GusuLan, grab her and yells at her when she's trying to help serving him some soup, You can reject someone with some respect, you know? He could just be cold to her and tell her in private He didnt want to marry her, but he is a jerk all the time until now! I get angry when I see the way he acts towards her and I cant understand how a romance can grow between then.
Because of what happened on Phoenix Mountain, he finally pulled his head out of his ass and recognize YanLi-Jie for the absolute treasure she is. If he hadn't changed, she never would have married him and JC wouldn't have made her.
