Actually, most of the characters have food-related names, especially food associated with hotpot/sukiyaki! Enoki is a kind of mushroom, Shirataki is a kind of noodle, Yudoufu is a kind of tofu, etc. Also, Tamako sounds like "tamago," which means egg. lol
