I agree with you too my friend...any father after seeing all of that might be worried for their child...what if theyre abused, bullied or hurt...I wouldnt want to have doubts for their happiness but I still would want them safe more ╥﹏╥
For all of y'all getting mad at the old man because he wants to rethink their marriage, think ab this first..If you think the Old man wont see them much anyway: The families would definatly interact with each other because of the marriage. As for the barbaric comment,think of it as less of him shaming their family but He's worried his son would get influenced by their behaviour or even worse get hurt because of it because did you not see what just almost happened, the son almost got smashed in the head. It's not wrong for him to be worried because its something hes been observing for a while, he probably just never voiced his opinion on them because his son was happy with Charlotte. I'm not saying separating them would be a good thing. I'm just trying to make you guys understand that it's not wrong that he thinks the way he does
