It was a bit confusing but at the end not that hard to understand. The uke and seme are descendants of the gods. Now for the deaths, Asumi died while looking for her brother's chain and since he found her body he kinda lost it, to the point of killing people to gather body parts to make a "doll" for her soul. He explained the ritual and said that he killed the female teacher and the other person buried under the Sakura tree. It still has some plot holes but is overall understandable
