I don’t think it’s the same as did on or brocon once a person become a parent they can fully understand where that feeling come from. I have no shame lol I love my little man and I Smother him a lot lol I like the dad character. I don’t wish it on anyone but it takes a parent one bad experience in regards to their child’s life and it they can become protective and a overly doting Parent.
Yeah that's understandable but I think they are calling that (someone)con in Japan when someone is a fool for their sister/brother/daughter/son. It's a completely positive term there though. I have a feeling in the west it doesn't sound as positive calling someone a siscon for example. As if it was something perverted or something like that. Or that might just be me... ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Idk bout y'all but these type of dads are pretty common in stories at least he's not the I don't care about my child type
I think, for me at least, it's the art that makes it creepy. I thought first that it was the attitude (to some degree it is, we really haven't seen much outside of his interactions with the MC), but then I compare it to "I will become the matriarch" Ghallahan (the MCs dad) and he has a similar attitude, but the art is cute and beautiful.

The dad is so extra it’s sickening. This is the first time I’m uncomfortable with a father daughter reincarnation story.
Also, how hard is it to find love over multiple centuries? My god. Or at least understand the concept of it and what drives people to do the things they do. Understanding how your neighbors came to be with children and what drove that. I’m actually surprised she didn’t get pregnant in any of her lives at least that way she’d feel maternal love.
