Thought i was done ranting but lol. Like I think "happy extrovert helps struggling introvert, brings them into their world" stories are nice and trauma/abuse stories are god tier but.. together?? Have to actually put in effort to do the subject matter justice or its just insulting. If Hiyomori's issues were that he's like gloomy so no one befriends him then this shallow story is perfectly fine. But instead he's a victim of csa and forced prostitution and what.. a two-week friendship saves him? I loved how Hiyomori instantly clung to Hazama because its the first kindness he's ever received. I really hoped tho that the manga would show how naive Hazama is, he's just a teen with no power and *no* understanding of Hiyomori's situation. It doesn't even have to be a long story or that deep to be meaningful, like "Cut" is a similar length and also too quickly resolved but wow it had way more substance and the main characters weren't this childish.
All these comments about "why did the author let pimp go away/he shouldve gone to jail too"?? It's unrealistic enough that he let hiyomori go to school, gave him a schedule of one fuck a week, and let him go at the end?? Like that's entirely focusing on the wrong thing, just wanting this fairy tale end that solves every loose thread.
Wow, so many dislikes on your comment when you're only speaking the truth lol. I agree with you on how unrealistic the story was, Hiyomori's situation is dark and heavy subject matter and it was handled pretty lightly and solved by just kind, positive, extrovert teenager lol.
The plot has so much potential if the author did not make it too short. I like this kind of story to delve on to Hiyomori's feelings, thoughts, and situation more deeply. this story would've been better if it was longer and taken more seriously.
So yeah, i got tired of trying to express my thoughts articulately lol but yeah, in short I agree with all of what you've said 100%

Ahh this was so disappointing ;; so so cliche and unrealistic. Hiyomori was forced into prostitution since he was a child.. he would not be this healthy nor have all his problems solved from a random teen stepping in? Everything that happened was just like, surface-level shoujo shit. Hazama falls in love for no reason, he sees signs of abuse and hears its been going on for years yet thinks "maybe he liked it tho?", doesnt call the police after he got that text... The pimp would in no world just let Hiyomori go. Hiyomori himself is probably the most one dimensional character here. Really feels like a middle schooler wrote this story. Published in 2017.. jesus. There's so much more that could be done with this setup but the actual plot is so half-assed.
