There are a lot of unhealthy and toxic tropes in yaoi, but I think this was one of the most realistic portrayals. In a lot of yaoi (especially older ones), possessiveness, manipulation and rape are almost equated with love and all the conflicts are healed through sex in this one, they acknowledged that the seme’s insecurity is a problem and he even chose to work on himself in the end! One of my favorites!
