So... Romance now?

But I hope he's not expecting to just pop back into existence with a proposal; that's not how relationships work. At least go on one date. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

Exactly! I really want some more romance between them. I'm gonna be so irritated if he just proposes, then BAM, story's over. ( ̄へ ̄)

    I'm 90% sure that's what's going to happen.

Maybe he's insecure. He proposed to Shiharu without really expecting anything, and then he never heard about Shiharu's feelings.

Most, if not all, japanese men would consider this giving the girl space to live her life.

Good point. I'm also irritated that she still hasn't told him her feelings. He made this big gesture about how serious his feelings are by PROPOSING. But she can't be bothered to even tell him she likes him? And she wonders why nothing seems to have changed in their relationship. It seems to me like he's the only one pulling his weight. Yeah there's the age difference and he said he'd wait, but that didn't stop him from telling her his feelings. Even if they wait to start a relationship that doesn't mean she can't give him some closure by knowing she returns his feelings. She spent the whole manga showing how empathetic and compassionate she is with everyone else's feelings in her life, but not for the one person she's in love with? ┗( T﹏T )┛
