I think part of it is that the translation is sorta iffy ^^; . Wish I knew what those lines were trying to say though...

It's not quite clear what the dad is trying to say at the part where he's talking about whether his son is his son or not. I'm not sure what the lines are trying to say there.

Not sure if it's intentional or not though.
