Well, I don't think the manga have taken reference from there but there are some similarities
Its India, I mean there are many different types of culture and traditions are this manga contains some of them, like the background clothes pattern are found in northern areas, the desert type weather in Western areas, there beards are also similar, and when the guests came they sat on the floor, it happens in india too, and using animal poop instead firewood , bazaar is also a bit similar, and many other things I can't mention everything XD that's why I got a lil weird feeling because, when you hear the name India, what comes to mind first ? Food! Spices! Lol
I have only read until ch5 but ,Ummm....the .. the culture and tradition actually resembles my country and ironically it's famous for delicious foods XD It just feels really weird,I'm sorry but no offense!!!! I'm just speaking my mind without ill-intent ,it felt "weird" because it's not that they are "behind" in terms of foods but ... They know absolutely nothing XD SALT ! THE HELL NOT EVEN ADDING SALT IN THE FOOD??? Well not that it's a problem, because of the plot
