Actually the first one published was the “pornographer” which was about the main couple, rio and kazumi. Even tho this one is a prequel to that, reading pornographer first would make it much more easier to understand.
The flow was not weird for me tho because it was established early on that kido has a girlfriend.
I feel like the story was interestint up till the time skip oh im married with a daughter now. Its prob cause this is a series and im reading this first but that was really weird flow and took me out of it. Going from sex in front of a dead mans alter to im married to some woman. The exposition to the future was so wack and out of it for me. It doesnt inspire me to read the other parts of This tbh
