Whoa this is a really convincing hypothesis. I never even stopped to think about the writing contest lol.
but also, i remember that there was another person that was killed in the fire and i feel like there might be something else behind that detail, well unless its nothing.
He knows about the other world...Terry probably liked Lucky a lot. Yandere perhaps? And her disinterest and drawing lines made him want to completely possess her? They did some sorta ritual but that messed up and now he is dead and he wants her to come along with him.
'That jerk?' Someone advised Terry. Who is that? Merlin? Merlin and Mallory are close. Mallory always wanted to die. Merlin helped her along and his wish? Take Terry along with her. Why? He likes Lucky. He has always, ALWAYS been around her. I just don't want to believe his side of the story...
Unless...
It's Lucky's side of the story that we can't believe because this is all somehow connected to her entering that writing contest. Did she murder them?
