I reread this, but no matter how I tried to believe the ML was completely innocent, it wouldn't compute. That woman and ML were both in the bedroom, the woman preparing to get naked, while ML was in the shower. The ML never cleared up why he allowed the woman to change in the bedroom.... don't tell me she came in while he was showering ? I believe he was found out in the nick of time. He knew his wife wasn't home. Also, it was inappropriate to let another woman change in the bedroom..... by the way, change into dry clothes? Whose dry clothes ?

The author let the ML get away with potentially cheating move.

Yeah. She should have been changing in the downstairs bathroom. She admitted that she was trying to seduce him, and he looked surprised to see her clothes scattered everywhere, including her underwear, so I honestly do think that she snuck into the bedroom, while he was showering, and stripped in her attempt to get him into bed. But what I can't fathom is that he KNEW she had tried to ruin his marriage, yet he was re-hiring her the very next day?!? THAT is NOT kosher.

It's almost three years, but i just wanted to say that cheating is common in Japan and pretty much accepted, as long as: it's kept hidden, he's paying for the sex like going to brothels and there's no love, he's still providing for the family. So these custom of theirs probably influenced the author's writing, a reason why the author didn't bother much to explain Dan's stupid actions, but rather even justify it.

Except that this is based off a novel by Sara Wood, who is from England, and has the exact same scene, with the same poor explanation. So, it isn't a matter of being influenced by cheating being accepted in Japan as long as it is hidden.

Ok. Sorry, i wasn't aware haha. I assumed as such because it's a manga. Well cheating is still as prevalent in the west as it is in Japan, so her environment pretty much still influenced her writing, as much as our behaviour is also influenced by our surroundings. Adiós (⌒▽⌒)
