I hope this clears it up for you. Dojin in the story was the 27th version of himself that had been bought back by Yellow Dragon. His other versions didn't always love Yellow Dragon. The 26th version fell in love with Yellow Dragon, but Yellow Dragon kept his promise to him and sent him back to his world. Remember he also made the same promise to the 27th Dojin but the 27th Dojin told him he wanted to stay with him. The 26th version, the old man, died in regret because he truly loved Yellow Dragon and wanted to stay with him that is why he had the pearl. Remeber the animal spirits said that was much love with this one. Also at the end when white tiger asked him that question it also alluded to the fact that the other versions love one or the other parts of Yellow Dragon not both.
I love this soooo much !!! but things i don't get are .... about the pearl in the end what was that about resemeble in what sence ......and how did he got it in the first place........... and what about the yellow dragon what happened to him during the time douji was waiting ..... what about yooguk does it still have a emperor, who is protecting in the mean time.... will yellow dragon and douji rule yooguk forever.......was black tortoise become good again ....... what was the yellow dragon punishmenet ....... did doujin still keep seeing yellow dragon in his dreams while he was waiting for him...... what happened to the red lotus and the traitor.
