Ok guys, my interpretation is differemt from the dog didnt recognizing the owner's smell So.. they r robots and they can only do memory backup, not feelings The boy was a warm sensitive robot, but when he died and his datas went to another robot he wasnt himself anymore, he really didnt love his dog anymore nor have any other feelings, he was just acting based on his memories couse he was programmed to do so Thats why the boy's shadow was creeply smiling
