there are... a lot... of mangas with plots that don't center around misunderstandings... For the drama genre then sure misunderstandings are often *part* of a story, but when ppl say they dislike misunderstandings, its the very stupid type of misunderstandings that could very easily be resolved or talked out if the characters were logical humans. I frankly find even those shallow types of misunderstandings amusing sometimes but it totally makes sense why ppl find them irritating.

i find it funny that everyone is like “omg i hate misunderstandings” in manga but then if there were no misunderstandings there would be... no.. plot.
