I read the novel until the 23th chapter and she seems aloof and cold. Thus i don’t think excuses are gonna shatter her.

Notice how indifferent she is towards them, there's no hatred in her eyes but rather she views the whole family as nothing more but pest. I won't go further into details into her previous life but let's just say... She's simply tired of it all.
