Rather than that, I feel it's more of a fear of fate/destiny. Since a lot of romance story super romanticizes the main couple and say they were made for each other or are perfect couple. Or, like, their fist meeting was fate or some cliche shit

This makes me think of the few stories where the MC didn't believe in God (very small amount of stories, I think they were 2). They went against God thinking they have fate in their own hands, only to get smacked and burned and spit on as all their efforts were wasted in changing things and the world kept following the original path while the MCs could only watch as people either died or their childhood was miserable. They would, of course, get with the ML but not without a shit ton of fear and a sense of hopelessness towards "fate".

Also I cant be the only one who hates the plots where the MC decides to “look after” the ML until the “true heroine of the story” comes into play? They toss the ML aside, totally disregarding their feelings and devaluing them to a mere character of a story that has to follow the certain the life that has already been set for them, as if they haven’t disrupted it in the first place?! I don’t think this relates well with this promo but i’m talking about other stories’ plots in general.
