The earl used him to find Ellen which was his goal from the start , then after wards Caidel found out that they knew each other from the book aka the diary , so the earl wanted to keep Ellen to herself , so she beat up my boy since he wasn't going to willingly drink the potion , it was really messed up cause it was like a one sided beating while Ellen was just crying watching (she's useless)
