ACTUALLLYYYYYYY lol 1.) the author, old xian, uploads the work for free on her weibo which u can find thru google since links don’t always work on here and it should be one of the first few things that pop up :) it being free is one of the reasons she doesn’t mind any translation of her works.
2.) with that said, the author actually allows her work to be translated globally as asked by fans many years ago when she first started the work of 19 days, (so at least in THIS specific author’s case — can’t speak for other manwha/manhua authors, it’s not illegal bc she allows it);

old xian also has a twitter and is very aware of her fans around the globe bc of said fan translations, hence why she created her twitter in the first place. she is aware of overseas fans and created it to interact with them, she doesn’t mind them at all. she has never taken any issues with fans translations or where they read them, she knows not all her fans know how to use weibo bc not all of them are chinese.
however, since 19 days is free, and if you want to support her in some monetary way — you CAN support her work by buying the occasional merchandise she releases from time to time. :) hope this helped in regards to anything you guys may have wondered. <3

honestly i would prefer not to discuss their username in public. at the time when it was happening, they made several posts explaining how upset they were and were desperate to take it down, asking for help from others. they’ve now written this specifically: “please do not in any way cause any inconvenience or disturbance to Old Xian with my works. That’s the last thing I want. As I updated, please do not post on manga sites.” and bc of the recent incident, I don’t feel comfortable sharing their username publicly since i feel they are clearly uncomfortable with what happened/were panicking and i feel they probably wouldn’t want ppl continuing to mention their name in this topic section with the incident that occurred (even tho they weren’t the one who uploaded it, they probably feel really flustered over the whole situation). i think they just want it to be forgotten bc they don’t want to cause any more trouble. i hope you understand and respect my choice in doing so. :) it’s possible they wouldn’t mind but considering how panicked they were, I just want to be mindful of their feelings just in case.

if you are curious as to why you may have gotten a notification but see nothing new:
in short, someone took it upon themselves to upload a piece of a fanart as a new chapter. it’s confused/upset many and also upset the fanartist terribly bc they didn’t want this to happen. the fanartist does not allow reuploads of their work, esp to a translation site of all places. people were able to take it down quickly so please take this as a reminder: DO NO UPLOAD FANARTS. this site is a place to upload official works only. leave it to the translator to do the uploading of new official chapters as they always have, they usually upload on the same day anyways. rest of us just wait patiently. so in short, there is no new chapter at the moment, a mistake happened but it was fixed.
(i will also address some other confusion in my own replies.. if u seen none under this it’s bc mangago is bugging out and won’t let me post the whole thing which is why i have to do it in parts smh)
