I don't see any of the characters having any qualms about possibly being gay or bisexual. if anything, Jiwon took her attraction to her best friend like it's the most normal thing in the world and tried to seduce her right away, even at school. their main problem is an absolute lack of clear communication and a certain degree of emotional constipation. both have nothing to do with sexuality. proposing to become "friends who kiss and hold hands" in this case is an obvious attempt to have at least SOME kind of affection and skinship from Myeongin, which is unhealthy but completely understandable.
not every person who doesn't proclaim themselves to be GAY or BI every other sentence is "in the closet" or has internalized homophobia. they probably just don't care, and good for them.
