I feel like it's well-paced so far. The point wasn't in seeing him become the crown prince, we knew he was going to be. It was the time when she starts to run away from him, and we haven't gotten there so I feel like the story spends just enough time on each period.
yeah, alot of the actual challenge for her position was glossed over. also, i expected her to have alot more grudge against the emperor who was the one who made her a sword in the first place. atp i dont rly know why her motive is to ruin the empire, and why the prince would want a rebellion when he's bound for the throne anyways. theres no actual struggle for charlize tbh
I understand. but also if the main focus is the romance, there would still be some problems. personally, i dont like their dynamic. the mental age, the unequal power balance, the blind worshipping. it's very far fetched for me to say that it's like grooming, but i got those vibes. and idk about u, but the crown prince isnt very appealing personality wise.
