Frm the ML point of view, its for survival sake and insecurity. Frm the FL point of view, its loss of trust.
I mean someone treat u like shit since the start without explaination, and only halted when the relationship is fading(?) I can see why she cant trust him at all, he told her nth and expected her to stay.
