Hey so I don't know if I'm misunderstanding your post, but just in case I wanted to let you know that this promo was a promotional manhwa/comic so people would be interested in the plot and read the novel. They are "PROMOting" the novel's plot but thats it.
Sometime the promo/comic AND the novel does well so later it also gets picked up for a manhwa/comic.
Or the novel does well by itself and becomes a comic right away and the first chapter is a prologue which is like a promo as they both explain the plot and kinda have spoilers.
The heartbreaking part is that many of these promos are for Korean novels that aren't/can't be translated because they monitor them really well. A lot of the time when someone starts to translate the publishing company finds out and they have to stop. So with these promos you get so see a book that is interesting but you(I) can't read it unless you can understand the language. （/TДT)/
should it really be described as heartbreaking tho?? although it's unfortunate for us, it's not as if we're legally reading anything on this website anyways.
