Just go through the most popular yaoi section on Mangago. 80% of them have a rapey plot or dubcon. I’m not saying people DONT call it out, but it is def more glorified, glamorized and overall liked in Yaoi...
Oh I understand I totally agree I think it’s more glamorized bc a lot(not everyone) of people who read yaoi are people who fetishize gay people ( I didn’t include BL/shounen ai bc they typically have no sex scenes and is based of relationship)

While I agree with everyone's comments that this story is fcked up and the ending even more so (she literally ends up with the abuser) if this were a Yaoi everyone would have been fine with it somehow smh
