I don’t like the criminal to get a happy ending but if the author is doing that he should be with a normal person that helps him to be a better person not the toxic one. It’s so obvious. Maybe the author thinks that the toxic’s love is strong and they can heal together but that’s not real and gives a bad message or learning for the younger readers.
This isn't meant for minors anyways, and if they're reading it, it isn't the author's responsibility to police them since this is clearly meant for adults.
