It’s not impossible, authors just don’t try to make new changes and this one did.
I’m not sure if they will stay together or if Choi Yul coming back to interfere but hopefully not. They have a sequel which Hyuntae and MC are together in a relationship after this is over, freezing point.

The beta freind is actually an alpha so it's possible and also in the 6 chapter the mc is exlplaining the same to his mother while she cuts his sentence in the middle.

So in the other spoiler post I made, I made a mistake by saying Yul is an omega which he isn’t. He’s an alpha yes still. A friend accidentally replaced MC’s name with Yul’s name so if you see that spoiler claiming Yul is an omega, it’s false.

To those who want actual detailed spoilers, here it is:

MC is an omega, pretending to be a Beta yes we all know. Yes. He is an omega all along and had been taking suppressants. And his “Beta” friend, really loved him and hid that he himself is an alpha and taking suppressants (to hide alpha pheromones I think) too.
Reason why “Beta” Friend of MC, Hyuntae, hid the fact that he himself is an alpha was because he thought MC hated alphas and so he hid the fact so as to be by his side.
At first MC did like Yul, but I think MC didn’t want to reveal that he is an omega because that Yul was too fixated that alphas should only date omega (ie more of a fate thing rather than love thing).
MC ends up with the "beta" friend who's actually an alpha (Hyuntae is his friend’s name ).
Towards the end of Season 1, MC actually disappeared from both his "beta" friend Hyuntae and Yul.
MC moved and changed schools.
At end of Season 1, Yul confessed his love for MC but I think MC was already too exhausted and plus problems at home, he was just too sick of everything.
Also maybe it seemed to MC that Yul only confessed to him after breaking up with Jaeyoung, the omega transfer student, and finding out that MC was actually omega so MC didn’t give a shit anymore and rejected.
In Season 2, after some years , the "Beta" friend Hyuntae finally found MC and due to some circumstances, Hyuntae moved in together with MC.
MC had some sleep disorder that caused a split personality whenever he fell asleep.
Moving on, MC and Yul finally bumped into each other again. Then Yul said his new partner is a beta because he no longer believes in fated pair after MC just disappeared without a word.
(I mean I would too run away, given such a wimpass alpha who was jumping on any omega at the start just because.)
MC also later fell in love with his “beta” friend, Hyuntae, so they stayed together.
The ending was kinda... I guess open-ended cuz the “beta friend” didn’t make MC his pair yet, I think it was the bff's part of being considerate to MC.
So “beta friend”, who is an alpha actually, and our MC are together.

Yes but that was part of season one so I’m sure he will mark MC in season two because Note: MC doesn’t know his boyfriend Hyuntae is an alpha, so Hyuntae can’t mark him or it’ll be Sus. In season 2, I’m sure he will mark after MC finds out and they talk it out blah blah.
Season 2 is where story focuses on their relationship. I’m excited to read when it’s translated :).
Also Hyuntae didn’t want to reveal he is an alpha because he thinks MC hates alphas lmao. So much misunderstandings. I’m cackling.

Our MC omega and his friend Hyun-Tae end up together and I think plot is more focused on their relationship in 2nd season.
I don’t know what happened to ML Choi Yul but I think he and MC went different ways as someone stated. I don’t know if Yul has a relationship with Jaeyoung, the transfer student or not.
But yes finally the second lead syndrome has been crushed on here. MC’s friend and MC end up together.
