Some women have hymen that either get popped or disappear with time, that's why virginity and chasity for women especially became such a big deal. TL;DR you can check if a woman is a virgin but cant do the same to man. Complain to nature.

I mean that is true that some women have a hymen and that’s where the construct of virginity comes from... but just because a woman doesn't have a hymen doesn’t mean she isn’t a virgin and likewise how she can still have one and not be a virgin. So if you think about it like that virginity isn’t a big deal.

Yeah and you can literally break your hymen from riding a bike, a horse, and other things. Some woman aren’t born with a hymen.

Actually the hymen doesn’t need to be broken at all you with enough foreplay you can have sex and not break it, it’s just skin that can be moved aside and not a freshness seal. So ya virginity is entirely a social construct and nothing else

Virginity IS a thing scientifically. But usually it just means having sex however when a woman has sex or masterbates we can break a hymen. I actually experienced that when I first masterbated.

It is not scientific, yes hymen’s can break or tear like any skin, but you can also have sex without breaking it, my biggest advice is google Hymen myths, obviously don’t read just any article but if you google it you’ll find articles from reputable sources that explain how the hymen actually works and how virginity is a social construct, and the breaking of the hymen is just a thing that sometimes happens during sex sometimes doesn’t and sometimes happens randomly due to accidents

It can mean whatever you want it to mean technically, are all sexually active people with intact hymens virgins? Are all people with broken hymens, even those who broke it in an accident, not?

Really? Where do you live because I do NOT want to go there. Where I live and everywhere I've been to, there has never been a woman that was shamed for loosing their virginity. Even in movies, the only women thats shamed are the blonde white snobbish cheerleaders (which is a whole other debate, even the most progressive people hate on them)

Um, no, I just see how things are, as a woman myself. I'm not judged for my sexuality, my parents are fine talking about sex with me. No one in my old school judged each other. Everyone where I live is open minded. I can openly talk about about lewd stuff. I'm treated like a person, and I live in the louth of USA, where people claim to be the most racist, homophobic, and sexist area in America. Just because people claim how things are on the media and on the internet, it doesn't always mean its true. People online seems much bigger than it actually is. And I know what racism looks like and I've only seen one person with those views in my entire life. I know my cities community and everyone looks down on this. Sadly the political nonsense thats happening online makes it look much different.

The whole world isn't monogamous. Why do you think different cultures exist? Just like how POC's experience racism in some countries, non POC's experience racism in other places too. That's the issue nowadays. People assume too much. Assume that everywhere is the same. Assume that women are treated like trash no matter where in the world and in a way thats a huge issue. Its not "the rest of the world" that yall are talking about, its only "some parts of the world"
