It's the magic of manga. I mean, the same theory should apply to shounen heroes as well. If they're fighting, they really shouldn't have time to talk their enemies into telling them their sad backstory.
I'm always thinking the same thing when I'm watching the anime lol! It's funny how they start counting down like saying there is only a few more minutes left! but it takes like forever for that last few minutes to finish. There's like this twenty minute monologue explanation for it
