Uh ok i dont know exactly what you said but, raphael and zeref have the same father(the duke) and zeref has the same mother as the fl (the empress). Right? Im just getting even more confused

Yes so I was thinking they are (fl, ml) closely related in the family though not by blood but they both share the same brother and let's say the empress and the Duke(Raphael's father) got together with their children that means fl and ml are I think, apparently, step siblings no? even if they weren't blood related they have still close relationship in the family and can be consider as step siblings with just their parents.
