Completely agree. All those previous chapters of progress. All the character development for both the MC and the dad. All thrown out the window. And for what? To deal with annoying Janet?

He lost his memory for a reason. Bbb.
And the way he regained his memories in the novel was ludicrous and ridiculously easy. Another thing that made the novel too boring to read.
