The rival doesn't need to start liking him right away it would be good if she started to see his good points and how he treats the FL and she could actually be friends with the FL so she would start talking about how much of a great guy he is and the FL will realize that she feels uncomfortable with her friend liking him and will start wondering why or something different is okay as well as long as there's some drama and spice
