Sorry to disagree, but I found the ML pretty annoying early on in the story. He refused to accept her resignation, refused to allow her to take her EARNED vacation days, and then yelled at her for not working when she's sitting at the pool with his mother. And this is after he did the el boinkador with her. After any one of these selfish actions, he should have been told to blow it out his ass. After all three, if I was the FL, I would have started posting his private number on the walls in bath houses, massage parlors, and the internet, along with something like "CEO desires trophy wife. Education level doesn't matter. Must be hot and willing to put out. Bring wedding dress."

I should have clarified that I meant he was pretty decent considering how the ML's usually are in these harlequin stories. I completely agree with literally everything you have said about him.
I didn't like the logic that the wife and mother Susan is so forgivable and acceptable to her cheating husband Mr Case who has a son with his dead mistress.
I can accept when a husband cheats one time and tells his wife in less than one month. That signals that he actually feels guilty/empathy and is perpared for redeeming himself/the consequences.
But a husband who has an affair for devil knows how long and only admit after his mistress dies + leaving behind a child... That's a big NO GO!
The way I see it that deadbeat gets rewarded for being a cheating asshole.

No annoying characters. The female lead is pretty, no pesky rivals. And the male lead is pretty decent.
