i sound kinda mad LMFAO but thats truly how i feel. like fiction really shouldnt be your excuse to indulge and enjoy things like that. and as much as many people disagree, i think its true that what you read and indulge in really reflects who you are, even if it is to a small extent.

Whenever I comment about rape in yaoi (my own separate comment not even arguing or debating about it on someone else's comment), rape apologists are so quick so rush in and say shit like "don't read it then" (there isn't always a rape tag, like in this manga) or "how else will the plot move forward" or "stop kink-shaming people" or "it wasn't rape if the person enjoyed it in the end". Maybe such people think it isn't "technically" rape if it happened to a man which is fucking disgusting.
tbh there shouldnt even be an argument over the tolerability of the rape scene in this story or bl in general. fiction or not, rape is frickin rape. theres no justifiable excuse. yall have flawed ass morals too because no matter how fictional it is, there are some things you should never be comfortable with. i saw someone compare rape in bl to horror movies and they are NOT the same. because when i watch a horror movie i KNOW wtf I expect to see. i didnt come to read romance to see rape. You guys normalized and brushed off rape in BL so much to the fact that yall get mad at people because they expressed their disapproval for it. there are so many other plot tools you can use instead of building a relationship from such a disgusting thing as rape.
