Ukai becomes a detective so that he can identify and thank the person who helped him when he was kidnapped as a child. His friend from high school, Kondo, opens a detective agency right next door and starts involving himslef in Ukai's work and life. Not very deep but a reasonably good plot with enough humor and fluff to make it a good read.
This manga is about the relationship between a straight-forward, serious doctor, Sung-jae and his hoobae Sa-in, who has become a complete playboy. They meet again when Sa-in hurts his wrists and comes in for treatment. Sung-jae has liked Sa-in for years but Sa-in just sees Sung-jae as an overly serious person to have some fun with... But then, things don't go as planned... It's a taming of the playboy kind of story...
The main story gets 4 stars. It's the story of two passive men who are in love with each other but are about to become brothers-in-law because of lack of communication. Luckily the girl sees through them and calls off the wedding... The execution of the plot is quite good though.
The "Stairway to Heaven" gets only 3 as it is pretty low on logic. I laughed out loud when it started off with a supervisor giving Narumi a stack of documents and asking him to "encrypt" all of
Interesting story about a prickly, tsundere bartender, Takafumi being pursued by a pushy, thick-skinned executive (hotel owner), Ichinose, who wouldn't know moderation if it smacked him in the face. Love story of 2 men whose characters are like oil and water....
Excellent characterization with ample fluff and some comedy mixed in.... Also, beautiful art....
Yutaka lost his parents and grandparents at a young age and was never fully accepted by the children in the family that adopted him. They bullied him by ridiculing the way he eats which caused him to become gloomy and be wary of eating together with others. Even after he moves out of that house, the trauma continues... until the day he shares his lunch with a child in the park and the child's brother invites him home to teach how to make tasty onigiri...
This is a very well-written manga from the class that don't try too hard to be realistic. It's still a very fun read. Ryuu is the heir to a yakuza family but he refuses to inherit from his sick father coz he's in love with his best friend Nao. But Nao forces him to take over from his father and promises to stay by his side. But things aren't that simple or easy in the yakuza world. What follows is some unrealistic fights and a lot of fluff.
Cliche but cute story of 2 delinquents. Not the least bit realistic. A fun read though.
Synopsis: Izuhara looks up to the delinquent Shinba who saved him from bullies. He wants to join Shinba's gang that catches scamsters red-handed and hands them over to the police. But he cannot be honest when facing Shinba and starts spouting angry hateful words. So he ends up creating his own gang on the other side of town while always being on the lookout for an opportunity to close the gap with Shinba
3 different stories. They are run of the mill yaoi stories about promiscuous gay men who fall for straight men and are accepted (way too) easily. But they get an extra star coz all the men are eye-candies. Yeah, I'm shallow like that....
Totally cliche with nothing new. But good for those times when you want some sugary sweetness in your life. Rokujou has known since middle school that he is gay and was bullied for it. Even his friends felt disgusted when he showed an interest in them. When he finally found one who didn't, he was still rejected. But now, a younger man, who reminds him of his last unrequited love, is showing an interest in him and Rokujou has to come to terms with being in a requited love for the first time.
Short and sweet story about neighbors brought together by a shared love for movies.
