romance manga w/ mcs that don't trigger my middle school internalized misogyny

mc and ml are a great couple, misunderstandings are resolved pretty quickly, cliches are not overused. the romance is cute w/ both sides actually seeming like they like each other. none of that running away dramatically while crying about the cheating that DID NOT HAPPEN AND HAD NO EVIDENCE OF HAPPENING bs. the plot actually makes me happy instead of wanting to bash my head into the closest wall

honestly not really a romance, like at all, but i'm reading it like an extremely slow burn romance bc jinshi is def feeling some type of way towards maomao. she's indifferent to him for the most part but she has her moments too. plot is extremely interesting w/ palace conspiracies and shit, art is nice, and maomao is a STRONG FL DONE RIGHT FRFR

reverse harem warning, i eat this shit up tho. tbh more focused on economy, scheming, kingdom building type stuff before romance. but the romance is def there. all the guys are cute and have their own charms, chitra is smart and strong, there are other female characters that show up and ARE ACTUALLY FRIENDLY INSTEAD OF BEING SCHEMING BITCHES FOR NO REASON

mc is so dumb and so pure that it's hard to dislike her fr. plus she's actually competent at something, that being martial arts. ml is also kinda dumb so i'd say they're a great match. the misunderstandings are funny instead of annoying which is a major plus and something that doesn't happen too often in shoujo

honestly, she slays so hard. the plot point w/ her stepson is EXTREMELY questionable tho. ig it's for the girlies who aren't about that bald man aesthetic but tbh she got me buying what her hubby is selling, metaphorically. i don't wanna seem like i wanna homewrecker just very supportive. she could also totally convince me into joining the scams of all scams, multilevel marketing.

another reverse harem warning. girly is collecting men like pokemons and she is THRIVING. she just like me fr. i love the art for this and i'm so happy the mc is just as into everything going on as i am into reading about it. also her being aware of typical shoujo stereotypes and trying to use them to romance the harem is so iconic

another romance where the relationship actually feels real. i like how they both care for each other, treat each other as equals, and both have something to bring to the table. the way the mc keeps worrying about the original plot is kind of annoying, but i think everything else about this story makes up for it. also one of the rare few "transmigrated-into-a-novel's-villainess" stories where the og fl isn't a complete bitch for no reason
