Best webtoon of all time. The story masterfully uses pop culture and nerdy references to explain everyday emotions and experiences. The core gimmick of the series somehow is used to create a story that fires on all cylinders: comedy, drama, romance, slice of life, etc.
What I appreciate most is that this story is about Yumi. There is never an end game guy that she has to suffer for until the end. No! Every love interest is treated like a meaningful experience, not an obstacle.
Not as cohesive and original as Yumi but an absolute treat to fans of the author. I feel bad for how woong is being written, it gets a laugh out of me but leaves me feelings a little sad.
The original! I absolutely know the only reason I like this is because of nostalgia but I DON'T GIVE A FUCK! It's so trash, so messy, and oh so perfect.
Also, there will never be a mean girl that tops Sai. She's the conniving bitch of the century. Her schemes are so loony and so over the top! She's so fun and frustrating to read >-<
Peach Girl has always made me say "what the fuck" and it continues to deliver in next. The pure distilled version of all of the worst shoujo tropes is what you get with this franchise and that is what makes it awesome.
edit: The older I get, the more I hate Kairi. His struggle in both Peach Girl and Peach Girl Next is his continuous lack of communication and his ongoing feelings for his past tutor. It is baffling to me how little this character can grow or mature.
This feels like a good version of Peach girl haha. I'm a sucker for shoujo with stylish outfits! I like this type of protagonist alot and I couldn't care less who she ends up with because she's so entertaining on her own. Great series with fun and likeable series, can't wait to read more.
The characters and their dynamics remind me so much of peach girl. Much like peach girl, the second lead syndrome is so strong!!
But! The heart of this series is compelling and the writer masterfully creates empathy for everyone. I still struggle to conceptualize that kind of 'soul mate' connection, especially with all the shit Yano puts her through. Perhaps I am not romantic enough
Ahh she is so cute! It's very much a manga more about growing up than anything. A very light and fresh manga that gives you a sense of youthful nostalgia.
Just so adorable! Asuka is so smooth. I feel like its rare to see a shoujo protagonist be so active in her own romance, I love it.
What can I say, I love crazy ass female leads which sana totally is. The premise is so fun and the main leads have great chemistry. I'm so excited to see where this goes!!
A very sweet version of the standard shoujo. The "Sempai" is cool and sweet and the main character is endearing. I don't honestly remember all the much but I remember really loving this and enjoying every chapter.
